The short version: DesiAgenda lists events. For most of them, your ticket is a contract with the organiser, not with us — and this page says exactly where the line falls.

DesiAgenda is currently run by an individual based in the Netherlands, not a registered company — this section will name the legal entity once one is registered. These terms are governed by Dutch law, and disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands. Nothing here limits the rights you have as a consumer under Dutch or EU law.
We publish a listing of South Asian events in the Netherlands. Browsing is free and needs no account. We review every listing before it is published, but a review is not a guarantee: the organiser is responsible for the event and for what they told us about it.
You must be at least 13 to have an account. Keep your password to yourself; tell us if you think someone else has it. You can delete your account at any time — see the privacy page.
By submitting a listing you confirm that:
Every edit to a published listing goes back for review before it appears. We may decline or remove a listing — for example one that is misleading, discriminatory, or not an event. If we turn one down we say why.
Most events on DesiAgenda are booked on the organiser’s own site. We say so before you leave, and from that point the organiser’s terms apply — including refunds. We are not a party to that purchase.
Where a ticket is bought on DesiAgenda, the contract for admission is still with the organiser; we sell it on their behalf and issue the ticket. If an event is cancelled, the organiser is responsible for the refund, and we will help you reach them.
Tickets for a dated event are one of the recognised exceptions to the 14-day right of withdrawal for distance selling (art. 6:230p sub e BW), so a ticket is not returnable simply because you changed your mind. Your rights if the event is cancelled or materially changed are unaffected.
Do not, on DesiAgenda:
We may remove any listing or suspend any account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why.
DesiAgenda is provided as it is. We do not warrant that a listing is complete or accurate, or that an event will happen as described — the organiser decides that. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for intent, deliberate recklessness, or anything that cannot be excluded under Dutch law.
We may update these terms. The date at the top is when they last changed; if a change materially affects you and you have an account, we will tell you by email.
